Do you do flower arrangements during winter?

We only do winter flowers as an add-on to our rentals/parties. While we don’t grow flowers during the winter, we do have access to the flowermart. Our minimum spend for flowers during the winter time is $300.

How do our rentals work?

At Bloomin On Bird, we offer a wide range of specialty rentals that are tailored to your specific needs. Our rental options are a-la-carte, ensuring flexibility to fit any budget. We have a minimum rental requirement of $100, giving you the freedom to choose exactly what you need. Whether you prefer the convenience of pickup or the ease of delivery, we have both options available to cater to your preferences. To get a better sense of the items we have in our inventory, feel free to take a look and discover the perfect pieces to elevate your event or celebration.

To rent from us, please complete our contact form. We'll schedule a brief call (up to 30 minutes), and request a deposit to proceed with a quote and samples. Once the inventory is confirmed, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is needed to reserve the rentals and date. We accept Zelle, Check and Cash.

What is the rental period?

Rental rates are for a 72 hour period. This allows you to pick up items on Friday and drop them off on Monday with no additional charges. If you require longer, please ask and we may setup an extended rental discount to allow for ease of your rental experience.

Do you deliver? Or can I pick up?

Yes and yes!

DELIVERY- Will be calculated based on address and drop off/pickup time.

WILL CALL- Depending on your rental order and vehicle of transport, we allow you to pick up at our local (San Jose) warehouse by appointment. A $30 pick-up coordination fee will apply to all pick-up orders.

What happens if I need to cancel?

We understand that sometimes changes have to be made, especially when you are planning in advance. Additions can be made to your rental order as availability allows.

Please understand with cancellations and adjustments that:

  • Your retainer is non-refundable regardless of when notice of cancellation is given.

  • For order changes that involve exclusions, adjustments that cause your new total to be less than the 50% retainer paid, Bloomin On Bird is not required to refund that amount. That retainer is non-refundable.

  • If additions are made to your order, an additional retainer may be required depending on the amount of additions made.

  • All changes must be requested via email for tracking/reference purposes.

What happens if I damage a piece?

Most of our pieces are vintage one-of-a-kind and we have scoured the country to find them.

But, we understand that accidents happen and we will work with you.

We do require a credit card on file for incidentals.

If the item can be cleaned or repaired, we will only charge for the cleaning fee and for time it is out of our inventory. If your piece is damaged beyond repair (missing, stained, ripped, chipped, cracked, etc) we will charge your credit card the replacement fee (anywhere from 3-5 times the rental rate; goblet replacement is $15/goblet) in order to replace the item. 

Why do some plates have a higher replacement fee?

Simply put, they cost more. Some vintage items are harder to come by (rare) and are more expensive to buy. As with all vintage items, if something is broken or chipped, it can no longer be rented out. Unfortunately, we can’t just go to a store or a wholesaler and easily replace the item. We have to scour our treasured spots and are at the mercy of a dealer’s price. If the same item is scheduled to be rented out, we will quickly have to purchase a replacement (or worse, tell our client it is no longer available) online with high expedited shipping fees. 

Can I wash the dishes or glassware? 

PLEASE NO DISHWASHER.

We ask that you simply scrape the plates of food and place into the containers dry, we will wash upon their return.

Please refrain from washing our goblets and glassware. If an item is let air dried, hard water spots will appear and we are not always able to remove them (this will be considered damaged).

What if I have something in mind and don’t see it on your inventory? 

Reach out! We haven’t had a chance to photograph everything in our warehouse. It’s quite possible we already have it, or are able to source it for your event.
